It has more than 200,000 km.
The engine sounds nice, easy start, but weak in the car, do not feel strongly, do not accelerate well.

Do not mess with the engine if the oil level between the two changes is normal, consider it if the exhaust fumes are blueish in colour, which would indicate oil burning. Also check the spark plugs, if they are wet and black, that is also a sign of your engine burning oil. Try correcting the ignition timing first, it can help with the lack of power.

8 liters is an ok consumption, but the dripping oil... Do you have ignition with contact breaker or electronic?
You shuold try to find NGK Bpr6e or bp6es v line spark plugs. I have them and they are preety good. Other than NGK you can use Bosna fe65p. Also check the ignition timing with a stroboscope, just to be sure, it's much more precise with a strobe.
The fact that the engine itself is not burning oil is good.

I think that you have carburator problem.
Chect valves settings. Unleaded fuel should not be the problem for our engines - i was talking to Zastava engeneer who was working on the developpement of these engines.
Also check igniton system.

sine your car is an export car, i think it has quality engine. GTL for Serbian market had a weak engine...My grandfather was driving '85 GTL and it was a disaster

Put the gasoline filter, clean the tank and the pump. I think you have dirt in fuel instalation...

Zastava 101: you were right!

There is no drain valve on gas tank. You need to demount it totaly. Wash it out, let it DRY well and that would be it.

You may have problem with engine valves, check them before you start engine renewal.

The result is not the best, but if there is no oil consumption or small, can do a lot more to go.
